Filter for Dog Grooming Dryer / Blower (Accessory)

As a professional groomer, you rely on your dog dryer to dry your canine clients after bathing them. But you can't just keep using the dryer on dog after dog without taking care of it. You will have to clean the filters regularly and eventually replace them.

Choose the Right Filter for Your Dryer

Always be sure to search for filters that are compatible with your grooming dryers. You want one that will be a perfect fit. If there is extra room on the side of the filter, some fur can sneak through, potentially reaching the motors. Or the filter may not connect properly, posing the risk of it falling out of place. So, if you have a K9 dryer, choose one of our filters for K 9.

Why the Filter Matters

Whether you have a K9 dryer or another brand, never put off replacing the filter in it. The filter keeps dirt, fur, hair, and other debris out of the motor. This lets the dryer run more efficiently and dramatically reduces the risk of a fire. Without a filter, hair could accumulate and pose a fire risk.

You may be tempted to occasionally use your dryer without a filter. This does increase the airflow. But it is very bad for the motor. Removing the filter is a very bad idea that can pose a fire hazard or shorten the life of your dryer.

When to Replace Your Filter

When to replace your filters will depend largely on use. The average filter life is about six months, but that is an average. If you have a lot of customers or are large dogs with the max length of fur, you may need to change it more often.

You should regularly review the filters on your dryers to clean them out. If you notice a tear or hole, you need to get a new filter.

How to Clean the Filter

Always review the information and instructions that come with your filters or dryer. That is because some filters will have slightly different cleaning instructions, especially if they are exposed to the max length of fur.

That being said, you want to clean the filter at least once a day, assuming you have a grooming salon. If you have a lot of dogs come in and out, you may need to clean it several times a day. You can blow it out or vacuum it. Or you can rinse the filter with water. If you rinse the filter, always let it dry completely before using it.

Sizes:
There are two sizes available for the Hairless Filters, making it easy to find one that fits your dryer. That perfect fit maximizes the filters’ functionality, easily collecting the fur and debris. The filters fit into place securely thanks to the inclusion of Velcro for extra security. Hairless Filters save you valuable time when grooming any type of dog and work with a variety of high-velocity dryers.
